At 1434 hours Station 30 was alerted as part of the first alarm assignment to the 100 Block of East Washington Avenue for the commercial fire. Engine 31 and PT-30 arrived within moments of each other to find fire showing from a garage attached to a large commercial occupancy. Wagon 30 arrived on the alpha side, picking up Wagon 31's supply line and staging in case additional fire spread occurred. Goodwill members operated for approximately two hours before returning to quarters.
