At approximately 0700 on August 25, Company 30 was alerted to a building explosion in the 300 Block of King Street (Jackson Township). Wagon and PT-30 responded immediately, followed by Tanker 30, and upon arrival crews were faced with a building completely demolished, with fire extending into a house, and burn victims. Engine 31, Deputy 31, Assistant 30, and Wagon 30 all arrived within seconds of each other, yet the Wagon was assigned fill site operations, while the Tankers assisted with shuttle operations. Goodwill Members operated for approximately two hours prior to be released by Command 31.
